We're having a potluck lunch on Sunday, April 27 after service. The theme is salads & desserts. Lots of things count as salads: potato salad, ham salad, taco salad, macaroni salad, shrimp salad, Cole slaw, etc. Bring enough of your dish to feed yourself and any family you bring, plus one more person. That way there's enough for everyone to sample.
If you would like to receive our weekly email about the week's speaker and events, send your name and email address to spirituallightcenter@gmail.com.
SLC is pet friendly. Leashes and current rabies shot, please.

May 11, 11 a.m. David Busch
David Busch hails originally from Southeast Texas, earning both his Master’s and Doctoral from Texas A & M University.
He has quite a lengthy resume having worked for 48 years with over 4,000 individuals, including both children and adolescents,
specializing in the assessment and treatment of ADHD and implementing non-prescription treatments using natural supplements.
In 2/3 of his clients there were successful notable improvements. David taught K-12 in the public school system, and taught
at the post-secondary level at Valdosta State University for thirteen years where he was granted tenure on first application.
Three years later, he was the first person in the history of the state of Georgia to ever resign from a university after
being granted tenure. In 1977, David felt called to the North Georgia mountains and began practicing full-time without knowing
anyone in the region. He opened an office specializing in natural healing, herbal medicine, reflexology, weight loss, and a
few other modalities. He had always wanted an integrated approach to medicine using psychology but had to tread carefully with
all the state licensing regulations at the time. Now, the world seems more accepting of integrative medicine. What feels
remarkable about this is during the 29 years he practiced in Gilmer County, his calendar remained full without ever spending
a dime on marketing. Fast forward to today, David is recreating himself as he semi-retires in Franklin, NC. He said,
"I will be presenting myself as a holistic psychologist, treating the mind, body and spirit of older adolescents and adults."
