June 29, 11 a.m. — Melody Cooper — If You Are Not Here, Where Are You?
Melody Cooper Melody Cooper is a professional harpist, pianist and vocalist and lives in Swannanoa, NC. She was the music director for Unity of the Keys, Key West and now plays monthly at Center for Spiritual Living Asheville. Melody is also a certified yoga and meditation teacher who is on staff at Purna Yoga 828 and also presents Restorative Yoga with Harp workshops. Melody is an accomplished motivational speaker who uses her performance background and catalog of original songs to present message, meditation and music at spiritual centers and other venues and events. July 6, 11 a.m. — Rev. Tom Tyre
Rev. Tom Tyre Rev. Tom Tyre is an interfaith minister who leads the non-sectarian Buddhist Fellowship of Franklin in Franklin, NC. He's also director of Ubuntu, an A Capella world music choir which has been singing in Franklin since 2009. He is a composer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and visual artist. Tom has been a student of Buddhism for more than forty years. He took his vows with  Geshe Thupten Phelgye, a former member of the Tibetan Parliament in exile and visiting professor at Eastern Washington State University.

July 13, 11 a.m. — Bill Groves
Bill was ordained a Catholic Priest in 1980, and continued in priesthood for ten years in Colorado, working almost exclusively with people of Native American and Hispanic cultures. In 1990, he left active priesthood and soon began working in his home state of Oklahoma as a licensed drug and alcohol counselor. He came to Franklin in January 2012 and became part of the Spiritual Light Center family, where he was happily our Administrator until he retired in March 2022. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors at SLC as member-at-large.

July 20, 11 a.m. — Elise Boren
Over her thirty-five-year career as a hairdresser, Elise has seen many changes in hairstyles and the fashion industry as a whole. Fortunately, believing that knowledge truly is power, Elise has many interests and degrees, which has given her many opportunities in her career. One is research and development, creating new environmentally friendly and innovative global hair products. This is very important to Elise, and she says honestly, "I love being a part of making amazing products that are striving to be better for humans, animals and the environment! Early in Elise’s life she was introduced to the magnificent power of sound and its healing capabilities — and she has managed her own personal chronic pain with sound for 40+ years. This motivated her to become a nationally certified sound healer. As Elise believes that we are all one, she also believes that healing needs to be all inclusive, with mind, body and spirit.

July 27, 11 a.m. — Donna Corso
Donna Corso Donna Corso is an author, public speaker, interfaith/metaphysical minister, Reiki master and life coach. Her book, When the Wind Chimes Chime: Ending the Greatest Fear of All, encourages us to release our fear of death/dying. She lives in Waynesville, and is a frequent speaker at the Creative Thought Center. Donna has been personal assistant to Neale Donald Walsch, best-selling author of Conversations with God, for 23 years.
